Are you saved?

Isn't this the real question we should all be asking ourselves?
Are we a real "Christian" from God's perspective?  After all, God makes the decision whether we go to Heaven or Hell.  Please read on if you want to hear what God's own words say about the matter.

I encourage you to pull out your Bible and look up what is referenced in the text below and you will see with your own eyes what the Bible says.  If you do not have a Bible, at the end of this page, you will be able to request that  a free Bible be sent to your home.  All text taken from the Bible is from the NIV (New International Version) and quotes below are in red.  2 Timothy 3:16 states "All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness"  and  2 Peter 1:20-21 " Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit."

So, If you say that you are a Christian and you truly are, then you believe the Bible as being the true and real authority of God and you believe what it has to say.  If you are a Christian, you also believe that Jesus Christ is the true Son of God and that He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross and was risen from the dead.  Lastly and most importantly, if you are a true Christian, you have accepted Jesus as your personal savior and asked for foregiveness of your sins. For Jesus says " I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me".  John 14:6.  What Jesus is saying here is that the only way to eternal life in Heaven is through believing in Him.  Do not be deceived, there are NO OTHER WAYS to enter Heaven.  The Bible is very clear about this.  John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life".

Unfortunately, so many people today think there are many ways to get to Heaven.  Even many "Christians" think that being "a good person", (without accepting Jesus as their savior) will get them into Heaven.  Others think that if they do good deeds, they will make it to Heaven, while others believe that only really evil people go to Hell.  Well friends, that is exactly what Satan wants you to keep on believing.  Satan is deceiving the whole world to think all paths lead to eternal life.

Part of the problem is that we think we're so intelligent.  We have "discovered" so many things and think we have so many others figured out.  We teach these "facts" to others, but I ask you to think...is everything that we are told or taught as fact actually fact?  Remember that hundreds of years ago, it was considered "fact" that the world was flat and to speak out against that "fact" was considered heresy.  This leads me to one of the largest deceptions in history and the biggest stumbling block for so many.....Evolution.  This theory has been morphed into fact by the societies and scientists of the world.  What greater soul-stealing deception is there than for Satan to plant the idea that we evolved from apes, (which the theory speculates evolved from other species all the way back to single cell organisms) and not taken from the image of God.  Genesis 1:27 , "So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them".  There are "Christians" who believe that God planned evolution and they fully believe in evolution over creation.  This is known as theistic evolution.  Do not be deceived, for God's intelligence and wisdom are infinite and ours are that of an infant compared to His.  If He says that we were created by Him in His own image, then that is the fact we should accept.  That is faith. Believing what the Bible and God's word tells us despite what all the "scientific facts" say.   More on creation vs. evolution can be found on menu bar.

So many people today have their own religion. The religion of themselves. They create and tailor their religion to fit around the type of lifestyle they are living or based on what they want to believe. A custom fit religion if you will.  Even many who call themeselves "Christians", go to Church every Sunday, They'll sing, they'll listen to the sermon, but the other 6 days, it's back to "normal", living an earthly life and not practicing what they learn in Church.  Heed these words that Jesus says, when we die, "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord' will enter the kingdom of Heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in Heaven.  Many will say to me on that day 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name, did we not drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you.  Away from me you evildoers'" (Matthew 7:21-23). 

Jesus wants to have a personal relationship with you.  He wants you to talk to Him, to share your trials and triumphs with Him.  He wants to be a part of your life and He wants you to be a part of His kingdom.

Do you want to be saved?  Then, say this prayer

"Lord Jesus, for too long I’ve kept you out of my life. I know that I am a sinner and that I cannot save myself. No longer will I close the door when I hear you knocking. By faith I gratefully receive your gift of salvation. I am ready to trust you as my Lord and Savior. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for coming to earth. I believe you are the Son of God who was born from a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead on the third day. Thank you for bearing and forgiving me my sins and giving me the gift of eternal life. I believe your words are true. Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and be my Savior.  I ask this in Jesus' precious and holy name. Amen."
